Intel IXP2800 Design-in kit

Description

Cadence has worked with Intel to develop a design-in kit that is shipping on the Intel® Internet Exchange Architecture Hardware Development Kit CD (Intel part number A00843-007). Obtain the CD from an Intel representative and find the Cadence folder under Ecosystem Vendors. The HTML based kit walks the user through PCB design-in challenges with executable examples and movies that demonstrate usage of the sample files. The design-in kit takes the user through the challenges of designing the high-speed busses utilized by the Intel® IXP2800 network processor (RDRAM, QDRII, SPI4-2, PCI). Each high speed bus is represented in the kit through ready-to-simulate Allegro PCB SI topologies with validated models and documentation on how to implement these high speed busses. Users of the design-in kit can easily turn these topologies into electrical constraints that can be applied in the constraint management system, accessible from ConceptHDL schematics, Allegro PCB SI, or Allegro layout. Sample electrical constraints have been applied to the Intel reference board as a means to guide the user through the process.
