Many of you already received communications about the move of the Cadence user community into cadence.com. And many of you have already joined, with over 4000 registrations in the first two weeks.

The new Cadence Community enhances the ability of Cadence users to connect and collaborate. In addition to moving the community into cadence.com -- enabling single sign-on for community, Sourcelink and Cadence events -- the new site is organized around nine technology segments, giving you easy access to product information, training, forums and blogs. Some of the new features include:
  • Ability to respond to posts via e-mail
  • Technology-specific blogs
  • Latest Web 2.0 social networking capabilities
  • Public profile options
  • Private messaging
  • Friends lists
Visit the new Cadence Community today at www.cadence.com/community and join the discussions!

Registration note: Due to the scope of the enhancements and the new SSO registration system, we were not able to migrate existing cdnusers.org member accounts. So new registrations are required, but this enables a broader set of functionality we think you'll enjoy.

Forum note: Under the guidance of forum moderators, we have taken the 20+ cdnusers.org forums and consolidated them into 11 forums on the new site. Posts have been brought over so you can leverage that posting history. CDNusers forums will be set to read only starting 7/30, and cdnusers.org will be redirected to the new community on 8/4.

Best regards,
Mike and Tom

Hi

I want to get any program to view near field result from PCB SI EMI-Single simulation.
I used this kind of program long time ago.

PCB SI EMI-Single is very powerful and useful to find optimal design solution by trade-off management , even if the accuracy is another topic with 3D EM solution : Ansoft, CST, etc.

Could you please show me how to get the solution or program?

Thanks

Hi bkpark

I performed near field simultation and me too I am looking for a viewer for XY datas.
I logged an Service Request, but the result was negative. Only an advice to find a 3rd party program.
Do you found a program?

It's damage to have the datas and not be able to use them.

Patrick.

Hi Patrick

I don't find proper program for this. but I found Matlab or other static analysis program like minitab can be used to display for XY datas.

I think that we can use the sigwave result of near field to find the max and critical frequency, maybe that is enough.

But I will keep to find the way to display the each frequency and XY datas and compare this with Full 3D tools.

I will let you know when I find good method.

I remembered the name of Cadence FAE who provided the program to display XY Datas when I worked with Cadence.
This program is not free of charge but I think this is very powerful and easy to use.

If Kevin is working with Cadence, I will contact with him

Hi BK Park

Thanks for the answers.
I found a freeware to view XYZ datas, its name is QUIKGRID
You can import directly each file and view the magnitude of the H/E near field for each frequency in colour. It’s a powerful program, you have many view options.

You can download it at http://www.perspectiveedge.com/
