Chris is a senior designer working for the SoC-DT design centre in Milton Keynes (UK). He is a design team leader with overall technical responsibility for the content of a project. Typically these projects are for large system-on-chip designs aimed at mobile applications.

Prior to joining Philips, now NXP, Chris was a chip designer for 3Com, and has been working in the industry for twelve years. He joined Philips during 2000, and has been involved in several projects that have won internal awards for their excellence.

Chris’ main field of experience is in synthesis and static-timing analysis; both of these are areas crucial to the success of large complex System-on-Chip projects. He is also heavily involved in low-power design, both looking at new ideas and technologies as well as helping implement current techniques across the whole company.
