Registration note: Due to the scope of the enhancements and the new SSO registration system, we were not able to migrate existing cdnusers.org member accounts. So new registrations are required, but this enables a broader set of functionality we think you'll enjoy.

Forum note: Under the guidance of forum moderators, we have taken the 20+ cdnusers.org forums and consolidated them into 11 forums on the new site. Posts have been brought over so you can leverage that posting history. CDNusers forums will be set to read only starting 7/30, and cdnusers.org will be redirected to the new community on 8/4.

Hello SKILL wizards,

After spennding close to eight years contracting with one company, and then moving on to another contract, I have discovered there are a few commands without which I can not survive!  (I know that's dramatic) These are a few simple concepts, so I thought I'd mine the forum in search of...

In this version of cadence,  5.1.0, sub 5.1.41_USR3.27.30, the move command seems cumbersome so I am looking for skill code that simplifies this, let me explain

I am looking for a 'relative move/copy' command that offers the following in a pop up window:

       copy or move? (radio button)
       x coord    y coord (entry fields)
       reset back to 0 for both (radio buttons)
       change layer?  -- with view into subset LSW layers
      and standard x,y transpose or uside down options
      now, not to get greedy, but,  'change snap mode?'  whould be nice too!

I'm sure the move command in this version is much 'fancier' and offers a few slick things, however, the pop up wondow DISAPPEARS if I want to apply the relative move more than once!  So I have to stab the key pad again, and click...Sure, I could use select left, select right , and array commands, but I just can't seem to get used to this level of detail....sometimes 'less is more' does anyone agree?

Does anyone out there have something like this? Or some advise on how to cope, at least?

PS I haven't developed any caprel tunnel or anything from clicking that apply button so often!
